Program Mission:
Upward Bound provides support to participants in order to help them successfully complete their high school studies and prepare for entrance into college. This support comes in many forms and includes tutoring, financial assistance, exposure to cultural opportunities, and assistance in preparing for and applying to colleges or universities. Upward Bound is part of the federal TRiO system of programs funded by the US Department of Education through competitive grants. Chadron State College is pleased to sponsor Upward Bound services for students in Alliance, Chadron, and Gordon/Rushville high school systems.
